I love music. I'm a fan of a LOT of different styles. Hard rock, jazz, electronica, trance, ambient, blues, industrial, funk, oldies, new wave, progressive, and the list goes on and on. About the only styles I'm not super hip on are country, hip-hop and most of the bubble gum stuff they call pop these days.

My two favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails and Barenaked Ladies, if that makes any sense at all. It doesn't to me, but I love both of them and all I can think of is that they are the yin and the yang of my musical tastes. In between are things like Miles Davis, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dave Brubeck, Yes, Tangerine Dream, Styx, The Doors, Beastie Boys, AC/DC, Jean Michel Jarre, The Orb, Queen, Underworld, U2, Bowie, Snake River Conspiracy, etc..

I'm also a huge fan of comedy music, especially Weird Al Yankovic. I got introduced to him on Dr. Demento's great show, and got to see him live the first time when I was 15 or so. He and the band are incredibly talented and I hope they keep doing what they are doing for a LONG time!

Currently, I'm following Nine Inch Nail's "Year Zero" interactive marketing. It's been a blast finding all the new sites, listening to the audio clips, reading e-mails, etc. If you haven't checked this out yet, head over to Echoing The Sound which is a great NIN message board. They have a great list of details on the whole thing.

I described it to a friend of mine as Trent going back to his industrial roots, but bringing a more accessible album to the world. It's fresh, it's got a scary message and frankly, it is probably the best albu
